The iconic traditional Fisherman’s Classic Smock by Yarmouth Oilskins is the original coastal workwear that has been refined sympathetically to meet modern needs. Originally worn by seafarers and fishermen as a loose over garment to protect their knitted sweater, these garments were traditionally made from hardwearing cotton sailcloth.The Classic Smock has an open neck and two pockets, made in 100% cotton twill and with contrast taped vents and cuffs treatment. Garment washing gives a pre-worn look and feel and a ‘lived in’ touch.This smock is made from 100% cotton rigid denim weight 8.0oz gsm, supplied by a UK family run textile mill based in Lancashire.The denim dye uses natural indigo pigment. The garment is laundry washed which results in shading and colour variation.
